Subclass 309/100 - Partner Visa (Offshore)

For partners who are outside Australia at the time of application.

Subclass 820/801 - Partner Visa (Onshore)

For partners who are in Australia at the time of application.

Subclass 300 - Prospective Marriage Visa

For people who intend to marry their Australian partner after arrival in Australia.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be sponsored by an eligible partner (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen)
  • Be in a genuine and continuing relationship (married, de facto, or same-sex)
  • Meet health and character requirements
  • Have your sponsor meet sponsorship obligations
